Salad Leaves and Salad Dressings by Steve’s Leaves

REVIEW OF Wild Red Rocket & Milder Leaves (50g bags) and 3 Super Salad Dressings (3 x 60g pots) We have not come across a bag of ready-to-eat salad leaves EVER, where so much attention has been paid to the leaf combination and how that contributes to the eating experience, no matter how the leaves are served. Combining a mix of milder leaves: some of which are fresh and watery tasting; some are salty; some sweet and earthy; some pungent and astringent; some plain bitter and quite sour – something to suit every taste bud in other words, yet with the addition of one of a trio of super salad dressings from the same company, which includes mint and honey; lemon and poppy seed and blackcurrant and white balsamic vinegar, the mouth literally comes alive. Not trying to be pretentiously advertorial but you will not taste anything more fresh and natural in one bowl. The trio of dressings are: Fruity Blackcurrant & White Balsamic Vinegar – Contains blackcurrant puree, water, mustard, the spirit vinegar mentioned, …

The Blowing in the Wind Collection – Balagan group TRADE ONLY

This is a blog post that you could say has a seasonal theme – autumn. We are focusing on one of the Balagan brands called Blowing in the Wind. The collection, as a whole, is made from real leaves that have been preserved within metallic finishes, eight colours all in all including silver, copper and gold. Resulting in individualistic pieces, where the objects (and in this case are handpicked woodland leaves), have been the inspiration behind the design and the creation of some stunning necklaces. Each piece is uniquely, yet subtly different from the next, and each one is, quite simply, a wearable work of art. Our ‘in the flesh’ sample is a beautifully bold, long-chained silver coloured necklace that is a coated base metal; is anti tarnish and nickel free. The design includes a small maple type leaf approximately 3 inches (8cm) in diameter, with five prongs and most veins ending in a point, all natural features and curling has been captured in its preservation achieved using electroplating techniques, resulting in a bright, soft …

The Belvia Bra from the Belvia Range

The Belvia bra is a stretchy, pull-over the head and on style bra which has no hooks to fasten. It is lightweight, rouched in the centre, with no underwiring or padding. Machine washable and quick drying (can be tumble dried). The main plus point about this item is its extreme comfort, another, is that it is almost seam free. The fit, however, can flatten rather than lift, and, where a larger lady may appreciate its ability to disguise bulges the bra provides little support otherwise. Made from a weave of polyamide and elastane are materials not recognized for good breathability, but are able to stretch to a high degree and still retain shape. Review of coffees from the Time of Day range by Paddy and Scott’s

Award winning Paddy and Scott’s is a Suffolk based coffee company that is growing fast. Founders Paddy Bishopp and Scott Russell head a small team who sell retail coffee online, and supply coffee and commercial coffee machines to trade (high end) such as hotels, restaurants, golf clubs, conference centres and offices. We are quick, in this instance, to champion the products and service the company offers, and, at the risk of sounding rather advertorial in tone, we acknowledge that coffee is a true passion for both men and that this enthusiasm reflects in all areas of the business unit. Coffee selling is a competitive market. This company have an artisan approach to production and like to show off their expertise, offering barista style tips in regard to serving the coffee. This kind of educational type information can be found on the website, on the actual coffee packs (retail) and on specially arranged open days and events.
