Sneak Peak of an illustrated version of J K Rowling’s first Harry Potter novel, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone – to be released in October

It’s been nearly a decade since the final Harry Potter book was released, but JK Rowling’s series is still as popular as ever.

An illustrated version of the first novel, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, is to be released in October and Bloomsbury Publishing have just given fans a sneak peak of the cover.

The new edition was illustrated by award-winning artist Jim Kay, who previously said he was terrified about the prospect of taking on the Harry Potter world.

All seven books from the series will be published in full-colour editions over the next few years.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, renamed as Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone in the US, was first released back in 1997.

There have of course been several editions of the novels since then, but this is the first fully illustrated…
