Hotel Cascais Miragem, Av. Marginal, 8554, Cascais 2754-536, Portugal…a 5-star hotel in a prime location within the pleasant coastal town of Cascais 20 miles west of Lisbon. The hotel is geared for leisure and tourism, hospitality events (including weddings). Free breakfast and Free WiFi. On Floor 3 is pool side casual dining facilities outdoors, plus indoor bar and informal seating areas to enjoy bar meals and snacks. The Gourmet restaurant supports an à la carte menu. Room service is available. There is also a heated indoor pool and spa facilities, gym and fitness, luxury retail and beauty outlets Location: Situated on the main road, close to the town centre, beaches and Marina. SUNBURN: WHAT TO DO IF YOU ACCIDENTALLY GET BURNT

The primary advice from the British Skin Foundation is to avoid sunburn in the first place. However, accidents can happen, so with this in mind, Consultant Dermatologist and British Skin Foundation spokesperson, Dr Anjali Mahto shares some simple advice on how to reduce pain from sunburn and limit further damage. Act quickly and get out of the sun Cover up the affected areas and stay in the shade until your sunburn has healed.  Wear loose cotton clothing that allows your skin to “breathe” over the sunburnt areas. Take over the counter pain relief Analgesia or painkillers can help relieve the pain and reduce inflammation caused by sunburn.  Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as ibuprofen are ideal and should be continued for a period of at least 48 hours if there are no contraindications.  Paracetamol will help with pain but has little effect on inflammation. Cool the skin Apply a cool compress to the skin e.g. a towel dampened with cool water for 15 minutes, or take a cool bath or shower.  Aim to keep the temperature just …

Profiling filmmaker Brendan Modini

About Brendan Modini Shortly after graduating in 2014 Modini travelled to Kenya to work with others as part of a scheme to write and direct his first documentary called Slum Dreams. Modini saw the rest of the year out by travelling around, visiting many countries in an effort to be challenged and inspired by his experiences and to use them to channel his thoughts and thinking in a kind of free minded form of curatorial practice.
